Practice relaxation techniques

Taking the time to relax every day helps to manage stress. There are lots of techniques that can help, such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and mindfulness meditation.

Get more sleep

It’s no secret that getting a good night’s sleep can reduce stress levels significantly. Start winding down your day earlier and prioritize getting the hours you need in bed.

Writing and journaling

Journaling can reduce stress by offering an escape or emotional release of negative feelings. Since it engages both hemispheres of the brain, it can help you to clarify thoughts, find solutions, and process challenging events.

Set realistic expectations

When feeling stressed or overwhelmed, be mindful of the things you can control and work on accepting the things that you can’t control.
